DOUG LAROCCA - ARTIST BIO

I'm an illustrator, designer and screen printer living in Philadelphia, PA. I used to design party supply packaging for a living before joining the scary yet fulfilling ranks of full-time freelance artists! Now I spend my days drawing robots, dinosaurs and whatever else I fancy. My nights are spent toiling away in my screen printing studio. I love working with clients, galleries and fans to create art that brings joy, happiness and a recollection of fond memories. I definitely lean heavy towards childhood nostalgia and retro pop themes. I guess I never grew out of my drawing Ninja Turtles and He-Man phase. I’m fine with that. 

This collection of (mostly) cryptids is inspired by the four years I lived in West Virginia. Though my time there was brief, it really ignited my love for local myths and monsters.
