Drinks with Friends: The White Knight & The Mother of the Future

The White Knight and The Mother of the Future drawings are inspired by two of my favorite films: Die Hard and The Terminator. This time around I wanted to showcase two different types of heroes. Ellis (The White Knight) the perceived hero and Sarah Connor (The Mother of the Future) the reluctant hero. It was fun to bring these characters to life and show them at points in their lives where they change forever. The Terminator is my number one favorite movie, so I felt I really had to give Sarah the reverence she deserved and show her last moment of innocence. Ellis, from Die Hard, is a character in every sense of the word and really helps to break the tension as a bit of comic relief while also providing weight to the reality of the situation with his death.
