ARTIST STATEMENT - BEN HOSE These works are studies of sci-fi cities inspired by Akira and Blade Runner. The focus is on dense, overbuilt environments rather than idealized future design. I was interested in exploring how cities evolve when growth outpaces planning, and what that looks like visually, how scale, repetition, and visual noise can define a space. The pieces center on these systems and structures, highlighting the patterns, layers, and energy that emerge as a city expands to meet constant demands for space and technology.
